Enrica started in the fashion world in South Africa.

Although her formal foray into the art world was in fashion design, she has been immersed in art from a young age, including theater, dance, and sculpture. She has been drawn to broader forms of self-expression and self-exploration.

In 2019, she returned to painting as a means to free herself from some personal struggles. This allowed her to use another means of expression. She draws inspiration from her own experiences, the women in her lineage, and her surroundings.

In October 2026, Enrica will present her first solo exhibition, “I had to choose myself,” a series born from a personal journal of sketches kept since 2021 and some experience that shr has gone through since having her baby .
The work traces a journey from withdrawal and silence toward clarity, release, and reclamation told entirely through a single recurring figure seen from behind.

The exhibition opens October 2–3, 2026 at Hub Créatif Lyon.

Earlier in her practice, Enrica introduced her series “My Hair, My Crown,” which celebrates the beauty of Black hair through Enrica’s vision.
